This stunning 11th century stone villa was restored in 2002 by the current owners as a holiday rental. Since then many improvements have been made to adapt the historic villa to take advantage of modern comforts.
This spectacular holiday villa can accommodate up to 32 people and is easily accessible by main roads and motorways. It is situated in the countryside of Sils, Girona near the Costa Brava, Spain, 4 km from shopping areas, and a 55 min. drive from Barcelona  or Perpignan. Nearby towns, including Girona, Figueres (The Dali Museum) and Blanes offer a wide variety of year round entertainment and activities. Its location is also ideal for visiting beach resorts along the famous Costa Brava, such as Tossa de Mar, Calella de Palafrugell and Roses.
Villa La Belladona is set in over 6.600 m² of extensive enclosed private, beautiful grounds. The surrounding land of more than 180.000 m2 belonging to the property, includes lush forests, farmlands and a pond.
The private  area includes; the main house, a veranda with barbecue and outdoor dining area, a small verdant forest, several esplanades, stone paved terraces, an orchard and a pleasant sun bathing area with a swimming pool, 6 x 12m. which is fenced off for children’ s safety.
With its large and fully decorated 8 bedrooms, 8 baths ( 4 en suite ), dining room for up to 32 persons, 2 cosy living rooms and a spacious entrance hall, this villa offers all the  comforts of home for any large group. 
This large holiday rental villa is furnished in the traditional Catalan style, with thick stone walls to keep the house cool in the summer and cosy in the winter.  There is central heating throughout the country home. The property is decorated with beautiful tiles from the Girona Costa Brava county and is full of superb features, including beamed ceilings in every room.

La Belladona is the perfect setting to organise a family holiday, reunite with a group of friends or hold special events such as weddings, class reunions or company staff meetings.

Holiday Rental Accommodation Details

La Belladona, building surface 627 m² , is a large villa spread out over two floors as follows:

Ground floor, sleeps 15 :

The main rooms consist of:

• A spacious 75 m² entrance hall and a large dining room with capacity for up to 32 people.
• A large fully-equipped kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine, oven, 2 ceramic hobs, 2 microwave ovens and a refrigerator with freezer. The kitchen has a wide range of modern small appliances, cooking utensils, dishes, glasses and cutlery. In addition there is an eating area in the kitchen for up to 12 people. Total surface area 25 m².
• A spacious 25 m² cellar complete with traditional racks used for wine storage is accessed through the kitchen.
• First living room with hi-fi, 40’’ flat screen TV, satellite, MP3, DVD and DivX, warmly decorated with period furniture, 25 m².

Three bathrooms situated as follows:

• Bathroom 1 ( 12 m² ): between the kitchen and the first living room, equipped with a hand basin, shower and WC (handicapped accessible).
• Bathrooms 2 and 3 ( 16 m²) at the end of the ground floor at the back of the house, each has a shower, WC and a hand basin.

Three bedrooms situated on the right-hand side of the entrance hall:

• Bedroom 1 (20 m²): one 135 cm double bed and two 90 cm single beds.
• Bedroom 2 (20 m² ) : two 135 cm double beds.
• Bedroom 3 (20 m²) : one 135 cm double bed and one 90 cm single bed. This room has an en suite  handicapped accessible bathroom complete with a shower, WC, towel dryer radiator and hand basin.
• Bedroom 4 (20 m²): two 135 cm double beds. Room with en suite bathroom complete with a shower, WC and hand basin.

Adjoining the house, there is :

• A large 55 m² game room equipped with a foosball table ( table football ), pool table and other games ( dartboard,.. ) . This room also has two refrigerators with freezer and a large separate freezer. The room stores a large number of old farming tools.
• Stone veranda dining area and barbecue located at the right side of the main house with a large stone table and garden furniture for up to 32 people, 70 m².
• Separate outdoor WC situated close to the stone veranda,  6m².

Upper floor, sleeps 17 :

Four bedrooms located on both sides of the landing.
On the right-hand side, starting from the front of the villa

• Bedroom 5 (25 m²): two 135 cm double beds and one 90 cm single bed.
• Bedroom 6 (22 m²) : one 135 cm double bed and two 90 cm single beds. Room with en suite bathroom complete with a shower, WC and hand basin.

On the left-hand side, starting from the front of the villa:

• Bedroom 7 (22 m²) : two 135 cm double beds, and one 90 cm single bed.
• Bedroom 8 ( 23 m²) : one 135 cm double bed and one 90 cm single bed. This room has an en suite bathroom complete with shower, WC, towel dryer radiator and hand basin.
• Bathroom 7 (15 m² ): between bedrooms 4 and 5 complete with a bath, hand basin, towel dryer radiator and WC.
• 25 m² second living room with 32” flat screen TV and a small library.  All warmly decorated.

Exterior :

Outdoor fenced yard of over 5973 m ²

• Covered car park area, 70 m².
• Fruit orchard behind the main house, 725 m².
• Clothes line between the car park area and the fruit orchard, 40 m².
• Forest with typical Mediterranean trees, lush vegetation, children's playground with huts, swings, table tennis and circular paved plot which was originally used for farmers to grind grain, 4000 m².
• Old  stone  paved terrace in front of the house with garden furniture, 115 m².
• Large esplanade between the terrace noted above and the forest,  418 m².  
• Bathing area containing a terrace with an unscreened porch 3 x 8 m, garden furniture, chaise lounges and a swimming pool, 6 x 12 m , which is fenced for children’ s safety, 275 m².
• Large grass esplanade, recreational area, between the private drive to the main house and the bathing area, ideal for playing volley ball and other sports 330 m².

Holiday Rental Booking Information

Villa La Belladona is available to rent all year round: for a fortnight, a week, a few days within the week or just for a weekend. Prices quoted are for the rental of the entire property and are in Euros all inclusive and without any hidden charges.
Weekly bookings in the months of  June, July and August run from Saturday to Saturday. In the rest of the year weekly periods are flexible.
Weekend periods run from Friday to Sunday. Additional days, when booking long weekends, have a special price.
We ask for a deposit of first 20 % to confirm the booking. Balance is due one month before your arrival. A refundable damage deposit of 200 Euros is to be paid in cash at clients arrival and will be returned on check-out day. Guests are requested to arrive no earlier than 4 pm and check-out no later than 10 am. Nevertheless some flexibility by arrangement will be considered.

• Maid service for cooking, extra cleaning or general domestic assistance. Meals  cooked with fresh ingredients, invoiced at their cost and served with our own professional cooks result in an average price per person of from 8 to 10 Euros.
