Villa of Ca l' Estrada

Ca l’ Estrada is a completely restored old Catalan farmhouse located in a lovely area of natural beauty  and tranquillity in Riudarenes, 85 km from France, 95 kms from Barcelona and 25 kms to the beaches of the Costa Brava.
The property is made up of two attached but independent villas which do not share any room or outdoor facility , ca l’ Estrada I, capacity 22 people, and Lo Paller de ca l’Estrada, capacity 17 people. The two houses stand in an extensive fully fenced private surface area of  more than 6000 m² , covered with vegetation and set up with all the necessary facilities for enjoying a holiday with your family or a group of friends.
Each villa has its own outdoor gate, car park area, bathing area, play ground and barbecue with adjoining dining area. Furthermore a fence and a high dense vegetion separates the exterior of the two houses so as that each one has its own privacy.
Beyond the fenced private terrain there are cultivated fields and forests belonging to the property consisting of  different kinds of trees typical of the Costa Brava vegetation.

The location of these large villas near the Mediterranean Motorway AP-7, the National Road number 2 ( written II ) and Catalonia’s Eix Transversal ( the coast inland  transverse road ) make them an excellent starting point for a wide sort of cultural days out and sporting activities to Barcelona, Costa Brava beaches, the Pyrenees, Andorra or France.

Holiday Rental Accommodation Details

The villa ca l’ Estrada I stands in extensive grounds of more than 3500 m² and has a built surface of 278 m² The accommodation is spread out over two floors, fully equipped with central heating and one apartment nearby the pool area. The total sleeping capacity of this villa is 22 distributed over 7 rooms.
The holiday rental villa is comfortably furnished in the traditional Catalan style, complete with charming tiles and beamed ceilings typical of the Girona Costa Brava region in Catalonia.
The accommodation description is as follows,

Ground floor, sleeps 2:

• Large dining room for 24 people, 30 m².
• Fully fitted and equipped kitchen with dishwasher, ceramic hob, refrigerator with freezer, oven, microwave, wide range of modern appliances, all the cooking utensils,  and cutlery you will need, 12 m².
• Bedroom 1: two 90 cm single beds, 15 m².
• Bathroom 1 with bath, hand basin and wc, 6 m².
• Large and comfortable leaving room with Hi Fi and a 42" flat screen TV, Sat, Mp3 and Dvd with DivX, 40 m².
• Bathroom 2 with shower, hand basin and wc, 5 m².
• Bathroom 3 with shower, hand basin and wc, 5 m².
• Bathroom 4 with shower, hand basin and wc, 5 m².

Upper floor, sleeps 16:
On the right hand side starting from the front of the house:

• Bedroom 2: two 135 cm double beds, 15 m².
• Bedroom 3: one 135 cm double bed, 12 m².
• Bedroom 4: one 135 cm double bed and one  90 cm single bed, 15 m².

At the back of the house on either side of the bathroom 2 and starting from the right hand side:

• Bedroom 5: one 135 cm double bed and two 90 cm single beds, 15 m².
• Bedroom 6: one 135 cm double bed and one 90 cm single bed, 15 m².
• Bathroom 5: located between rooms 5 and 6, with shower, hand basin and wc, 18 m².

Exterior :

• A long wide covered walkway alongside the façade of the main house with tables and chairs, 3 x 15 m.
• Large screened porch close to the bathing area with a dining room for 40 people, barbecue, refrigerator with freezer and outdoor garden furniture, 65 m².
• Veranda attached to the former screened porch with garden furniture, 24 m²
• Private bathing area with a large swimming pool, 7 x 13 m, attractively fenced for children’ s safety, chaise lounges, a wide range of  garden furniture and a covered porch ( 12  x 4 m ).
• Bedroom 7, one 135 cm double bed and two 90 cm single beds, 20 m².
• Bathroom 6 with shower, hand basin and wc, 6 m².
• There are large stone tables and benches throughout the area between the main house and the screened porch.
• The playground area close to the screened porch and within the grove of bicentennial trees has a ping  pong table, a kicker (foosball), swings and a tree house.
• A long wide covered walkway ,  3  x 12 m,  connects the main house and the screened  porch  .
• A large flat lawn ground area, close to the bathing facilities, ideal for playing football, bocce ( petanque ) or other sports. This area is decorated with old farming tools,  700 m².
• House I has direct car access with automatic outdoor gate.
• There is  an covered car park area, a large esplanade around the old well which is  fenced for children's safety , 1200 m².

Holiday Rental Booking Information

Villa ca l' Estrada is available to rent all year round: for a fortnight, a week, a few days within the week or just for a weekend. Prices quoted are for the rental of the entire property and are in euros all inclusive and without any hidden charges.
Weekly bookings in the months of  June, July and August run from Friday to Friday. In the rest of the year weekly periods are flexible.
Weekend periods run from Friday to Sunday. Additional days, when booking long weekends, have a special price.
We ask for a deposit of first 20 % to confirm the booking. Balance is due one month before your arrival. A refundable damage deposit of 200 euros is to be paid in cash at clients arrival and will be returned on check-out day. Guests are requested to arrive no earlier than 4 pm and check-out no later than 10 am. Nevertheless some flexibility by arrangement will be considered.
