Villa Mas Figueres, a large villa for rent in Costa Brava

This charming stone villa is a restored old farmhouse located in the heart of the countryside in the inland Costa Brava and just 55 minutes from Barcelona. It has easy access from south-western France (Toulouse, Montpellier and Perpignan ), through main motorways such as AP-7 alongside the Spanish Mediterranean cost and the highway N-II that leads to Madrid. Furthermore there are also excellent communications with the international airports of Barcelona (BCN) and Girona (GRO), Ryanair flights and the major air lines  such as: British Airways, Lufthansa,  SAS, etc.
This villa is just 4 km from the shopping areas and our maintenance staff headquarters.

This large villa, surrounded by nature and farmland, is also near the beaches of the Costa Brava such as Tossa de Mar, Pals and Calella de Palafrugell and famous towns such as Girona (the Ancient Jewish Quarter) and Figueres (The Dali Museum) which offer a wide variety of year round entertainment and activities.
The property consists of over 5500 m2 of private enclosed grounds where you will enjoy the charming main house, the small cottage and the spacious screened porch (272 m2) which is ideal for celebrations. In addition there is a fenced off pleasant private bathing area, a grove of trees with a terrific playground for children, a large grass esplanade (volleyball anyone ? ) and a decorative garden highlighting antique farming implements. A remote control iron gate secures your total privacy.

The main house can accommodate up to 32 people in 9 fully decorated bedrooms, 9 bathrooms (4 en suite), 2 living rooms, and a spacious dining room with kitchen attached. This villa offers all the comforts of home for any large group.

The entire house is decorated with beautiful tiles from the Girona Costa Brava county and is full of superb features, including beamed ceilings in every room.
The villa is furnished in the traditional Catalan style, with thick stone walls to keep the house cool in the summer and cosy in the winter. For your additional comfort there is central heating and air conditioning throughout.

The whole property provides an excellent venue  for a family holiday, a reunion with a group of friends, for holding special events such as weddings, parties, celebrations, class reunions or company staff meetings

Holiday Rental Accommodation Details

This beautiful villa can accommodate up to 32 persons and is spread over two floors with a total surface area of 498 m2 with central air and heat. In addition, there is a small detached cottage that sleeps 2, of 25m2 just 85m. from the main house.

MAIN HOUSE

*   Ancient stone paved terrace in front of the façade with garden furniture, 80 m2.

Ground floor, sleeps 13:

• 30 m2 fully decorated entrance hall.
• Bedroom 1: on the left side of the entrance hall, one 135 cm double bed, 11m2.
• First living room with a 42” flat screen TV, DVD and DivX with Mp3, 25m2.
• Second living room with a 42” flat screen TV, Satellite, DVD and DivX with Mp3, 25m2.
• Spacious open-plan well-equipped kitchen with microwave oven, oven, ceramic hobs, dishwasher, large  capacity washing machine , two large fridges with freezers and a decorative fireplace.

You will find a complete range of modern appliances, every necessary cooking utensil, dishes, glasses, cutlery and nice extras such as a wide variety of coffee making devices and a kettle.

• Dining room with seating for up to 32 persons next to the kitchen, with six tables (three tables are circular and three rectangular) and equipped with 4 full sets of silverware, plates and all kinds of glasses, total surface area 73 m2.
• First and second bathrooms located on the right hand side of the entrance hall with shower, WC and hand basin, 15 m2. The first bathroom on the right is handicapped accessible.
• Bedroom 2: dormitory located at the end of the entrance hall with five 135 cm double beds and one 90 cm single bed. It has 2 en suite bathrooms ( III and IV) with shower, WC and hand basin, 52 m2.

Upper floor, sleeps 17:

On the left hand side starting from the front of the house:

• Bedroom 3: one 135 cm double bed, en suite bathroom (V) with shower, WC and hand basin. It has  a play room with toys for kids, 25 m2.
• Bedroom 4: one 135 cm double bed, 10 m2.
• Bedroom 5: one 135 cm double bed, 10 m2.
• Bedroom 6: one 135 cm double bed and one 90 cm single bed.

On the opposite side of the upper corridor and starting from the right:

• Bedroom 7: two 135 double beds, 16 m2.
• Bedroom 8: two 135 double beds, 16 m2
• Sixth bathroom: located between bedrooms 6 and 7 with shower, WC and hand basin, 10 m2.
• Seventh bathroom: located close to the landing of the upper floor with shower, WC and hand basin, 6 m2.

SMALL COTTAGE

A 25 m2 cottage is situated within the fenced grounds and is just 85 m. from the main house. Very private.  It has one 135 cm double bed and an en suite bathroom (VIII)  with shower, WC and hand basin.

OUTDOOR AREA:

• Spacious screened porch with cooking area (barbecue, summer kitchen, microwave oven, dishwasher, fridge and freezer), dining area for up to 75 guests and game area (ping pong table, dartboard, football table and pool table), complete with an extensive range of garden furniture, 272 m2. 
• 253 m2 bathing area with a large sparkling pool, 7 x 13m., outdoor shower and chaise lounges. This area is fenced off for children’s safety.
• 6 m2 outdoor ninth bathroom next to the main house with  WC, hand basin and shower.
• Clothes line in the area between bathroom ( IX) and the verdant back yard .
• Small 1500 m2 grove with shade trees that are typical of the Girona Costa Brava region in Catalonia. This area is decorated with antique farming implements.
• Large car park area close to the grove and the fountain.
• Small porch with rubbish / recycle bins.
• Bike rack next to the well and large esplanade with lawn alongside the bathing  area ideal for playing sports, games or for setting up big tops or tents .
• Playground in the grove area with swings, a playhouse, a slide,.....
• Outside the perimeter fence there is a large corral with farm animals (sheep and hens).

Holiday Rental Booking Information

Villa Mas Figueres is available to rent all year round: for a fortnight, a week, a few days within the week or just for a weekend. Prices quoted are for the rental of the entire property and are in Euros, all inclusive and without any hidden charges.
Weekly bookings in the months of  June, July and August run from Sunday to Sunday. In the rest of the year weekly periods are flexible.
Weekend periods run from Friday to Sunday. Additional days, when booking long weekends, have a special discounted price.
We ask for a deposit of 20 % to confirm the booking. Balance is due one month before your arrival. A refundable damage deposit of 200 Euros is to be paid in cash at clients arrival and will be returned on check-out day. Guests are requested to arrive no earlier than 4 pm and check-out no later than 10 am. Some flexibility by arrangement will be considered.
